Changed plugs, killed radio?

When I got this pickup the radio worked perfect minus the display. Radio reception was as good as my '06 Monte Carlo without any issues.

Well I changed wires/plugs/cap/rotor the other day and ever since the radio will only pick up two stations, one's ESPN and the other is some local country station. Neither of which I like. I want my rock station back that I was listening to last week.

Any ideas as to why the reception went to hell? My rock station was presetted so when I hit the button it goes to the channel, but barely picks anything out of the static.

I thought the antenna might be loose but it's on tight and I never messed with anything other than what I needed to for the tuneup.

Does it still work the same as before with the engine shut off? If so the spark plugs and possibly wires and distributor cap aren't radio resistant.

Uh, did you happen to disconnect the battery? The presets will be gone from the radio when you disconnect the battery and if your display is messed up you might be thinking that the reception sucks but it may really be that you dont realize its not on the right station.... I do the same thing because my display is also messed up and always forget that the presets go bye-bye when i disconnect the batt. so I have to scroll through the radio stations till I find the right stations.

Thanks guys, I didn't realize that disconnecting the battery would kill my presets. My presets always stay on my other vehicles even when the battery is out over night. Turns out that not only had my presets been reset, but it had kicked the radio over to AM and I couldn't tell as my display is not functioning.

I found it again, it's not as good as it was before so I'm sure the plugs need better shielding but at least it's not full static.

Thanks.
