My bronco needs a new heat control assembly. I have tried Bronco Graveyard, MAC, Driven 4x4, LVC, no one has one. Any ideas on how to get one. Can the old one be fixed. The cool to heat control just slides back and forth with no resistance. Thanks,
Good to see another South Dakotan on here. Sorry I don't have a heat control here but I do have a bunch of other stuff for that year Bronco laying around. I owned one for about 20 years and accumulated lots of parts. Give me a shout if you need anything.
Sounds like the cable assembly broke. Have you also checked similar year pickups. It should be the same or similar. Also a parts store might have a generic cable that could be made to work. I would pull it apart to see what broke. It might be an easy fix.
Greg,
I am just over here in Tyndall, less than an hr from you. I am just getting started on my 79, redid the whole tailgate, not cheap. The mechanic said the same thing, we will tear it apart and hope for the best. I am in the book, Todd Crownover
What kid of milage should a 79 with a 351M be getting?
Fuel mileage on them was never a strong point, 10 - 12. We towed a lot with ours and ran it to about 300,000 before it got wrecked, so like I said, I've got quite a few left over parts. We had done a 460 swap into so it had good power and was a fun truck. Let me know if you need anything.
