dp tuner? fuel system?

i have two questions but first i have a 2001 f250 with a 3 clutch torque converter along with a gtp38r 4 inch exhaust and intake and a diablo predator programmer. first question is does anyone think ill get more out of the turbo with dp tuner? should i get a fuel system as well? it just feels like its starving its self out and im not getting as much as i should out of the bb turbo

The turbo is reactive, it reacts to the fueling of the engine. In other words, don't think of it in terms of "getting more out of the turbo", but rather "getting more out of my injectors".

With that said, getting a DP Tuner may or may not give you a power increase. You may like the tuning better, but it's possible not to get more power.

When I said "getting more out of my injectors", what I meant is that you could be running into a restriction with the HPOP. If your HPOP can't maintain good pressure with a hot tune, it's going to feel like it's "starving itself" as you described. Some tuning tweaks can alleviate that issue slightly, but at the end of the day a weak HPOP is still a weak HPOP.

If you have a diagnostic scanner with the ability to watch ICP pressures and duty cycle, or have access to one via a friend, you can track the oil pressures to see how your HPOP is holding up.

If you aren't happy with your current programmer, then by all means switch to something else like DP. But if you're approaching it simply from the standpoint of getting more boost, then you need to know what's going on with your engine first.

You should see a marginal increase in drivability and some SOTP get up with our chip even with stock injectors and stock fuel system. The 38R needs no tuning adjustments with stock injectors. A fuel system is always a nice upgrade and it will get you started if you plan on doing any more to the injection system. I had a fuel system on my 03 Ex with stock injectors for over three years. I liked it.
