I have a 99 F-150 whos headliner is coming down. The headliner is made of carpet or some special type of felt. On the edge near the windshield and the back window of the cab the carpet is coming down. I have used duct tape to hold the headliner so that it isn't hanging down in front by the winshield. Does anybody have this problem and can tell me what they did to fix it or does anybody have any suggestions????
Replacing headliner fabric is pretty much a breeze,If you(or the wife/GF etc) will go to a local fabric store, you will find quite alot of different color headliner material.
It has the foam backing, and all you will need to do is get some GOOD spray adhesive, and replace the old material.
This will of course require removing the OEM hedliner form, and removing the old fabric, and insulation from it.This form is VERY thin, pull the trim from around it,whatever lights are attached through it,and clean it off completely, spray the form, and lightly press the new material onto it.let it dry,and trim the edges. pop it back in and your good to go.
