mod plans, whadya think

i'm not getting crazy, because i am building a motor for my 2011 5.0.

it looks like what i would like to do is the mbrp exhaust for 310 shipped,

the napa filter mod, and a customer tune.

exhaust is a bolt on, and the tune will be simple.

i read the filter mod, seems it's as simple as bolting the filter on to a 4" piece of pipe or pvc.

is that all i need? so many things to read but i'm going nuts trying to read all the diff posts on the filter mod.

lastly, can i do the filter mod without a chip until i get one?

Air

Here is the whole 6637 air kit from Clay, nice and simple this way Riffraff Diesel: RDP 6637 Filter Kit

You can do the air kit now, then do the exhaust next, then i would get a set of gauges before getting a tuner so you know what is getting hot with the extra power.

X2. Esecially on the guage part. Gotta monitor stuff!

6637: All I used was filter, piece of 4" exaust tube, 2 large hose clamps. Thats it, just add Petes Cover and your done.

Or like above, Clay has all you need. Didn't read that part, nor did I know Clay had it, covers and all.

Highly recommend the in tank Mods, i.e. "Hutch and Harpoon" and a Fuel Crossover or RR. Fuel quality, i.e. airation and inadequate fuel supply to cylinder #8 are well known weaknesses that can be easily fixed to prolong the life of pretty expensive parts.

hahaha Gotta love it! Sometimes you want to be talked into stuff though! You'll love 'em both, just intake and exaust make a big difference. Just feels like the truck isnt workin as hard to get to speed!

so, i ordered the exhaust from rifraff at 8:57pm 2 nights ago. It is already installed on the truck.

Ridiculously fast! Now, for the black filter covers to come in for me

Oh, and I decided to upgrade to a monster box! Damn it, got me again!

Well maybe some but not all, price wise anyway.
I was a little miffed at the price range from a few of the sponsors on the same part as much as 200%.The one that wasthe highest was selling a no name part and the lowest a brand name

Shop wisely
