Looks like a fun build. My buddy's 12v build is pretty similar that he is putting in his E99. Cost definitely takes a toll after awhile though. We've been working on his for over a year. Hope yours goes quicker than his. Good luck and can't wait to see it come together!
Well jeez.. the cost of internals machining is a bit on the high side.. $900 to polished and shotpeened the rods. $240 to flow test the injectors and make sure they are right. And $800 to rebuild the injectors if need be.. A full head P&P is $2300.. not doing that haha..
How are you getting the dual CP3's so cheap? Last I checked they were like $2800 new.. Guessing your sending them 2 used CP3's?
The cummins crowd has a massive turn over rate. I just keep searching for deals. I snagged a $2200 htt 66/71/14 turbo for $850 with 6k miles on it. I see dual cp3 setups with pumps for $1700 all the time. Just waiting to snag a deal.
Yeah my buddy bought all new parts rather than getting used stuff like that and worrying about getting screwed. He also got an HTT 66 w/ the stainless turbine housing. Nice turbo, but cost him like $2600..
