Like I said I took my negatives in and we matched them up.. could not find exact ones on their site. The ones I bought are 2/0 and have the needed extra lead wire but I did have to trim it a bit.

That just has to many big wires to join in any of the flag terminals I have found.

Notice the large power feeds he has off both batteries in the picture above in addition to the stock wiring.
just went out to finish up the plow wiring pretty much, and im telling ya,im glad i went with these.no clue what i would have done otherwise.

i remember star claimed back along,he's seen these brake.
i keep forgetting to grab a spare and toss it in the toolbox just in case.
but been awhile now and no issues.
i do however find myself checking the wingnuts for tightness every time im checking fluids etc.
really i should toss those, and put a nut and washer on 'em.
not going to worry about changing these out for any other style until i see for myself any issues.
sure glad iv got 'em on there today.unscrew, place the wire on,screw back on,and bam.plow wires.like you say,the dump power wire just as easy, and anything else to come along like winch etc.etc.etc.

Nothing wrong with marine connectors.. just keep doing like you have been and check the wing nuts every time the hood is up. I have been using them in the 75's 2 battery setup for over 20 years and never had a failure.

My '86 has the original cables still and it has 3/0 from the starter up to the first positive terminal. I had to cut a bit off one of the ground cables and reinstall with a new clamp. It's worked better since then, but I'm sure there's room for improvement.

I am reviving this thread from the dead, but just to give a quick update - my positive battery cables turned out to be in decent shape, so instead of replacing them my neighbor just added another 2/0 cable between the driver-side battery and the starter directly - this way each battery can dump its power directly into the starter. Then I bought two generic 2-gauge cables from the parts store, and ran those between the negative terminal of each battery and the engine, much like how the factory ground cables are - I am not sure if this was necessary, but I have always been told the more and the bigger the cables the better it is. So now I have three positive 2/0 cables (one between the two batteries, and one between each battery and the starter), and four negative cables (one 2/0 from each battery to the bottom of the engine, and one 2-gauge from each battery to the alternator on one side and the A/C compressor on the other side), this I think should be a pretty good setup. It actually did help some, my truck does start a bit easier now even though the temperatures are lower outside. Next on my list is a starter, the people on the other diesel site highly recommended this:
