glow plug problems
ok so my glow plugs stopeed working back in the summer, when they worked i could hear the relay click, i put i new gpr in it has power at big post than other big post has power for a bout a min, but dont seam that the gp are working all conctions look good and have a new set on drivers side, is it posibal if one of 2 gp are bad none will work?? it starts good pluged in just no gp

i got the one that oreillys called for it was like 90 bucks , #22 fuse is good, and all my wire concters are good, drivers side is new, gpr seams to be doing what its post 2 , cant beleave all 8 would go out at once

i no it was , i tryed to take it back they wont,are the stock gpr junk?? i had the glow plugs out in aug, 2 was brannew, the other 6 was factory, should have changed them then, my realy seams to be working right, one big post has power with key off turn key on other big post has power and one small post after about 1min big post looses power and small post swaps power to other small post, i may just spend the 90 bucks and put all 8 gp in new and do wirers on passanger side that would have to fix it i would think

I wouldn't worry about the wiring, You should replace the glowplugs with motorcraft ZD-11's. The wiring should be fine as long as they aren't burnt.

wirers seam good dont look or smell burnt, i found a relay and 8 gp for 106.00 vcg and all wires for 70.00, drivers side wirers have been replaced, passanger is still factory

are the zd11 better than the bosh?? the front two on driver side was bosh i seen when i did my injecters, the others was motercraft i think, where do you get them at?? thanks james!!

I always use motorcraft zd-11's, they will not swell up and create problems like the autolites or other glow plugs. You can get them at Oriellys.
Like i said before, if the wiring and gaskets aren't burnt, they are fine and dont need replacing. They are reusable gaskets and wiring. No need to fix what aint broke. With new glowplugs and the relay you should be good to go.
