alarm problem.....

hey guys need your help on a 2010 f350 6.4l. cabela. it isnt my truck its my parents.
when the truck is lock with the remote key the alarm goes off after a few mins. with the truck is remotely started and it shuts off after remote start it will go off. anybody know what could be causing this???

by chance is the dome light coming on when this happens? I am thinking they have a bad "door ajar" switch.
