I'm sure everyone has had about enough of TBC installations. I'm moving my tekonsha primus iq from my expedition to an 02 excursion. The picture below helped me locate the grey plug way up under the dash on the right hand side of the dash support. Great picture by the way...I have the brown ford plug that connects from the TBC, but cannot seem to maneuver around the grey plug to line it up so it will click in. What am I missing? I really need to save the money and do this myself. Are there other parts of the wiring I should disconnect to make it easier to make the turn under the dash so the brown will fit into the grey. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

It's not the most convenient place to access for sure.
If you are sure you have the correct connector, it will fit in there to line up.
Seems to me when I did mine, I barely got it started with my fingers then using a long screwdriver gently pushed it into place by using the metal dash hole as a pivot surface for the screwdriver.
Thanks...I finally got it. I worked and worked trying to plug it in and finally had to leave it for awhile. Came back and had it plugged in within 5 minutes. It's truly a two handed effort. One under that dash guiding the plug and one through the dash guiding it into the receptacle. Glad it's done. Not sure how I would get it out if I ever need to unplug it...but I'll worry about it then.
