Hello all,
I have a 94 7.3L IDI and found a crack in the Fuel filter manifold. Is there an easy fix, cause I am having a heck of a time trying to track down a replacement. The number on the Assembly is 1809433C1 made by International. Thanks
I could probably weld something like that if all the plastic and rubber parts are completely removed. Any half skilled welder with access to a good Tig machince could do it. Have you looked at auto wreckers yet?
Are you by any chance seeing any leaks or cold starting problems? If the crack goes all the way through, there should be but if not, it may not be anything to worry about.
Looks like the O ring is bad. It looked like the fuel was coming out of the seam. I cleaned all the dirt and grime off and ran it for a while and its leaking out of the back of the heater port. How much am I into on replacing the O-ring. It does have cold starting problem. I found that my glow plugs are bad and looking to change them out this weekend.

I would just take the filter head into any autoparts store and they should have a wall of assorted O rings. You might luck out and find what you need there.
A whole new header assy was only 25 at the jy. That is crazy Canadian prices to boot. Fellas in the us should be cheaper than that. I have the old 6.9 style with metal bracket complete if needed.
If you can find one at a jy though, in ten years of owning an IDI I only saw one in the yards here, and they wouldn't part it out yet when I was there.
