The parts aren't the most stout. I know that people try to clean them to get them to last as long as possible but I don't hear much about repairing them.
I put Warn hubs on my 02 F250 about a year ago and have had nothing but trouble the times I have needed 4 wheel drive. The r/side warn hub does not engage all the way when you turn it in. I have tried a few "fixes" but nothing seems to work, I will try again to get some answers from Warn on Monday. Anyone out their have the same problem?
I am just waiting for mine to break so I can get some Warn hubs. I wouldn't bother rebuilding the factory ones.
I wouldn't even wait for them to break...Mine never worked right when I bought the truck (was 2 years old w/ 19,000 miles at the time)
I put Warns on it when I replaced my front bearings a couple years ago and could not be happier...You can lock/unlock them with your pinky finger. I think I bought my hubs at the Farm&Fleet for under $100

I think you may have other issues. I have Warn premium 4x4 manual engaging hubs that have always worked perfectly. However, when my center seal in knuckle went bad, it caused the axle stub to round out the hub and bearing.
I called Warn, got an RTA # and they sent me a new set ASAP(lifetime warranty)
Thanks BD71, on that side I replaced the hub assembly/wheel bearings about 3 months before I put the warns on, Les Schwab has always done the work on my truck but they can't figure out what is going on now. The hubs are the same as yours, althought yours work. I will pass on the guys at Les S about the axle stub.
Thanks again.
BD71, they found the problem when they replaced the hubs, the right side hud had come apart inside, the lock ring holding the inside assembly of the hud came out. Just a FYI.
my 99 f250 v10 had both vacum seals go bad causing the ujoints on axles grinding on the inside knuckle, replaced both seals replaced hub assy and went with superwinch manuel hubs and now everything works much better than thaos vacum hubs, noise is gone. Far as i'm concerned thaose auto hubs are junk.
