I see it this way about the center of gravity though. The stock suspension has springs that are designed for the stock center of gravity. A suspension lift has springs that are designed for the changed center of gravity and are usually stiffer as well.

5. It may be necessary to drill the front two body bushing sleeves out to 1/2" for new bolt clearance.
11. Vehicles equipped with 6 cyl or V-6 will require replacement of lower radiator hose to avoid contact with smog pump.
14. Will not fit vehicle equipped with diesel engine.
26. No bumper brackets are included

The problem you are going to run into is the way the frame horns extend into the bumper, you are pretty much going to have to make your own and notch the bottom of the bumper or the frame to let it raise up 3" or else accept that it is going to look like this

Now, since you evidently want to ignore those of use who have already been there/done that and ended up

And, since you seem determined try and throw on this

So you can put on these

Without addressing this

or this

or this

While trying to make a 185hp 302 with this

this

and this

power something like this

and seem to be determined to do this

May I suggest on the front and back frame rails mounting some of these

or these

Preferably like this

So when the stock 302 can't spin the tires enough to keep moving and ends up like this

Someone who actually geared and setup a truck correctly can hook up and do this

Oh, and when you end up stuck, DO NOT use one of these

Unless you want your hood or tailgate to look like this

Fantastic Post!
