Add another $10-$15 for a good drill bit to drill thru the blocks to put them on the front

$241.78 vs. $386.06 for the kit to do it right the first time.
If you can't afford the difference of $144.28 to do it properly, you probably shouldn't be doing it at all.
I have a 3'' body lift on mine. I wish I had never had it installed.
Its too bad you don't live in central Texas. If you did, I'd come over and help you take it off and put it back to stock. I still say you should do it and then put the body lift parts on craigslist.

I'd love to make the truck a mild hot rod again. I'd love to take the body lift off and put some low profile tires on the truck. I was kicking around the idea of a built 302 as the powerplant.
Just ideas for right now. I'm too broke to do anything!

And thanks Ty, I wish you lived closer too.
I still like the idea of taking the body lift off and keeping the 31s. However it would be sweet to make a muscle truck out of it with a V8 and some 255 70 15 or 275 60 15 BFG Radial TAs. If you did do that I would go with a 351.

Sorry for the thread hijack.
Well I have a soft spot for the 302 (betcha didn't know that) and the 302 would gain better fuel mileage than a 351 when I'm not thrashing on it.
Besides, I love the way a built 302 can rev. Love the sound of a V8 hitting six, seven thousand RPM's..
Bill knows what the deal is , a little screaming 302 is perfect for that little truck , 6500 rpm no problem...the only thing that sounds better than that , is a 289 at 9000 rpm....Lew
maybe im not understanding something....he wants to put 33's on his f250? why wont they fit stock? running 33/12.50/15's on my f150 with only slight mod to the bumper, and now that i rebuilt the front end (new f250 springs to level the truck) and new bushings they would have fit without a bumper mod. granted the 302 is gonna have a pretty hard turning them tires, it depends on his gearing too.... my 300 6 has no problem turning my 33's with 3.08 gears none the less. it does work a bit harder to get rolling, but im not after jackrabbit starts with a 300 anyways.

Wuzzup Lew!!!!
What does a stock EFI 302 make anyhow? 180 horse? 280 ft lbs? At what RPM?
I really liked how my truck did with the factory stance and tires. Bottom end with the 4.11 gear was neck-snapping quick. Not much top end, though. I know a mildly built V8 would be twice as stout and have the top end to match - that would be enough to make me happy!
