5.4 Back Firing

5.4 Back Firing

Have 1999 Ex with 5.4. Its started to backfire at throttle opening above 50%. It has plenty of power at partial throttle, passes smog and gets about 14 mpg. No errors detected by computer.

What should I check?

Check for vacuum leaks and check the fuel pressure.
