Anyone have one/know where i can get a oil-less performance air filter? Im not a huge fan of oil filters. Had a problem with my chevy colorado getting the oil on the MAF sensor and had to clean it, real p.i.t.a. Thanks guys
The only time you'd really need a filter is if your engine is moving way more cubic feet of air and you're collapsing your intake hoses. One thing I wish they did with our air filters that GM did on many of their gassers from the 90's was include a vacuum gauge so you knew when your filter was done.
Stay with the OE style felt edge filter it is a very good design and seals the intake very well and provides the cleanest air possible for the engine. Just be careful of brands like Fram whose pleat count is lower and the felt is a vinyl butyl felt compound it does not seal very well.
