I am looking into buying a new cd player, 6 1/2" speakers and 5"x7" speakers....What are some good brands that are nice and crisp? And I prefer a cd player to have red lights to match my interior....also Might throw a 10" or a 12" in for sound quality and lil bumpity bump....
It really depends entirely on how much you want to spend.
Obviously the sky's the limit but you can also have a very good sounding system for well under a thousand bucks with a little time spent on research and component matching.
I have had great luck with kenwood an PolkAudio speakers. Kenwood makes great head units to. Now for the sub i am not sure were u want to go with that but i have a square kicker 10 an it is a great sub could not ask for more unless it was money He he.
I'm simply looking for a good headunit, and as for speakers, I want good solid lows, and crisp highs......and as far as price: somewhere in the $3-600 range...and I may add a 10" sub for good lows for when me an the misses plug in the DVD player for a nice night out....
The benefit with this amp is that its a 4 channel who will take low or high level speaker inputs. It also has a pass thru pre amp output so you can add a sub amp later down the road if you want it.
I chose the kenwood 3 ways because I like a nice all around sound level. I don't like really high highs, and really low lows. I want a nice mid range but I like the high's on these speakers when they are amped.
As far as a sub goes, I had a 900w rockford amp and my 10" infinity and they hit pretty hard in my truck. I have the amp at about a quarter of what it'll put out and its pretty loud with the HU's base at about 60%
