Are the harnesses run clean (i.e. rubber grommets on the firewall, battery connections good)? Can you run some pictures of the rest of the install? Did you go with the control pad?

Randy -- this is a good thread. Dealing with aftermarket products can be tricky. Seen way too many crappy installations, not to mention products that just aren't design for the rig being forced fit. Glad everyone is sharing their experiences. Snow plows are a BIG investments. Maybe we can send some snow down your way...
Plow was $5450.00 + $463.00 tax / total install is another $500. But i did the install myself took me longer than the dealer im sure but at least i know where everything is (in the event of a issue ) and nobody cares about your truck more than you do... Same dealer told me he takes air dams off the trucks also ,,a lot more work ,and they don't want to cut it crooked and then owner complains .... i bought from a company on long island called Brake Service Group ... Great people to deal with great service and fast ..

Got to love NY taxes! Price you provided is a about $500 lower than here in the mid Atlantic. Will find out tomorrow what the guys in Buffalo get for one.

Looks like you did a great job on the installation. I agree that no one cares more than the owner. Wish I had the time to do the installation. Sounds like it took more than 1 day.

Keep us posted on the XLS performance.

Good choice on the plow.

It looks like you did a great job cutting the dam yourself. Any tips or tricks you would care to share?

LOL! Well, it sounds like I got a few more years before it will get to me. Sandmanf250 -- you can put down the joystick and step away from the mold board -- you have done your job!

Would love to hear and see what the equipment looked like back then!

The Western Wideout plows are awesome plows to use if you are plowing commercial properties! I'm big on Western plows because of the Ultra Mount system. Its very easy to attach and de-tatch the blade!

I like the hand held remote control for them, not the box.
