2011 & 2012 Dates
2011 & 2012 Dates
I tried doing a search for this info, but haven't had much luck. A short while back, someone posted some very useful info regarding key dates for 2011, such as the last date to order, and other dates around when ordering info should be out for the 2012s. If anyone has that info. handy and can share it again, I would appreciate it.
As a side note, and I could be wrong, but I recall those dates showing that there might be a small window to see what may be new with the '12s before the last order date for the 2011s. This of course would be ideal for those currently trying to decide whether or not to hold out for some updated features that have been mentioned in the 2012 wish list thread. If there aren't any meaninful changes for '12, I'm sure there will be some who will want to jump on '11 model year end deals (and perhaps still have an opty to order what they'd like).

PowerStrokeHD, thank you for the information. That's what I was looking for. These dates show there is a small window to still order the '11s if the '12s don't have very significant changes. If the '12 order bank is open in March, hopefully we'll start seeing info on '12 changes a short while before then.
I did go to my local dealer last night to see the first truck I ordered (see my signature....F250, Lariat Ultimate, long bed, etc). Truck is gorgeous, but does have the two tone seats, which I'm not a fan of. Dealer is going to put it on the lot and sell it as I'm going to order a F350 instead, very similar set up to the one I ordered, etc.
We did have a good conversation around Ford's strategy for introducing new changes/features. While he didn't have any specifics on the 12's yet, he did say Ford will generally introduce certain features in the F-150 first, and if those features have a good take rate, they'll usually be introduced in the SD a model year or two later. While no one knows for sure, since MyFordTouch (as an example) is not in the F-150 yet, it's likely not to be a feature in the '12 SuperDuty line up. This is speculation only and not fact. That being said, the larger NAV screen set up they do have with the Sony system in the F-150 is a step up from what's in the SD today, so it would be nice to at least see those changes integrated in the '12 SD. Also, the F-150 has a platinum edition which does have things like ambient lighting and other decent trim features, not to mention the factory retractable running boards.

I have started researching a new 2011 Super Duty and have noticed some people making a point about the 2 tone seats, and other people saying they have monotone. The trucks I have seen on the lot are 2 tone. Did Ford make a change somewhere during the MY? Pardon my ignorance if this question has been asked before, I am just starting to research this truck.
