Talking revving sound

Hey guys,
I have an 05 6.0 with 83,000 miles on it. Lately, when I'm driving at a steady rate usually @ about 1500 - 1800 Rpm's it sounds almost like the engine revs up on its own. When it happens I make it a point to look at the RPM's and there is no change. Its not really that loud but, we all know when we hear something out of the ordinary on our trucks. It doesn't happen all the time and as of now I don't feel the truck running any differently. You're help is greatly appreciated as always.
Thanks,
Art

Of course since I've posted this it hasn't done it... I haven't noticed on the boost cak301 but I will tell you that when it has done it before it sounds like its my turbo that makes the sound... As soon as it does it again I will let you know about the boost. Thanks!

I had a problem with my turbo boost fluctuating up and down. I took out my ebp sensor and tube and cleaned them. So far that seems to have fixed it

Good afternoon Cak301, please pardon my ignorance but where is the EBP sensor and tube?? I was looking for it yesterday but haven't been able to find it. They really should come out with a Powerstroke for dummies manual (with lots of pictures) for people like myself. Thanks again for your help!! Art
