Talking TPMS Adjusted!!!!!

Yes, it can be done! I don't have a cool video like Epic but I hope this helps.

The local dealer would not do it but my Ford tech friend used an IDS programmer and did it on the side. Here's the steps he went through:

1. Followed path: Module Programming> Programmable Parameters> Tire Pressure Monitoring System

2. We saw some warning pop-ups that you just click "OK" and/or "YES" through.

3.We then set the pressure for front and rear. I saw every setting available. I chose 40 psi for front and rear.

Worthless without Vids!

Epic has helped me a lot and I very much appreciate his contribution.

Why on earth do you need a video of something that you will never have the means to do yourself? The hardest part of getting this mod done is actually finding a tech that is willing to do it.

Good job sneaky. We might just have to wait for a third-party programmer to be able to make the change ourselves. These kinds of restrictions just bother me on so many levels. Hate it when someone tells me they know what's best for me when I know something different. Makes you feel like you're being treated like a child.

60 psi in all four around town. 65 max PSI when towing. And yes, much nicer right now.

It was intended to be a joke, albeit a bad one.

BTW I thought the video of the 400/800 re-flash was informative even though I couldn't perform it myself.

One of these days can you ask your friend to poke around in there and see if there is a setting for the size of fuel tank? I think there must be to account for the SWB vs LWB tank sizes.

Just curious if it will take any old number or if it just has options for the factory sizes.

+1

I also like to learn about the behind-the-curtain stuff on my truck. No, I don't have a ford tech laptop... but it's cool to watch one in action

I brought my 2011 sd to my mdealer and they set my tires to my desired pressure and they made the sensors relearn and it was fixed. I wanted 55lbs and the light will come on below 50 and above 60.

While your at it...

I want the "police blackout" We had a Game Warden pull up at night - turned his F-150 off (2010 or 11) Got out... came to the carport I was standing under.. No courtesey lights, dings - NADA...

I want that on my rig - best world would be a setting to turn on & off the feature but program changes is there somewhere - a LEO buddy said for the Crown victoria it is called the Police Blackout...
