Bully Dog Programmer??
Hello all, I am new here, and i really like all the info that you guys make available to guys like me. I just picked up 7.3 diesel and i wanna get a programmer for it. Is the Bullydog a good one? i am waiting for my gauges to get here as well. what are some other minor things i can do to make some power impovements. The truck is bone stock now. Thanks guys!!!!

There are many good ones to choose from......take your time and do some reasearch to find the one that suits your needs and price range. Whatever you decide on, make sure you get some guages. You will need an EGT and trans temp guage....... checkout some other forms also......to get a feel for what you need......The diesel stop, powerstroke.org,powerstroke nation,dieselbombers are some.

Definitely do your research. My brother had Banks kits on his 7.3 and his 6.0 and they were awesome! I can't compare them to anything else, but they didn't give him any troubles. Thing to remember is to do the exhaust b4 or the same time you do the intake, if you want to make it suck more air, it has to exhaust more in return and the stock exhaust may not be enough.

Dan is right about paying attn to your exhaust b4 tuner....
the egt's will sky rocket with a perfect tune, even worse with a bad tune if the exhaust is stock....
I am a fan of Banks marketing - awesome !!!
but not so much a fan of their overpriced and under performing hardware....
lot's of possibilities for the 7.3 - do your due diligence and after you get it you can report on it....
on my 02 7.3 had a superchips.... (b4 I knew any better)
on my 03 had a predator - (b4 I knew any better)
and 05 have the sct - now I know betta
