I am looking to get a new programmer but not sure what to get. I have a 2006 f-250 6.0, its all stock except straight pipe exhaust, and a sct flash tuner. I want to upgrade but idk what to get and would like some oppinions, i would like somethin that had built in gauges.

 

Contact Jody at DP-Tuner. He can program your SCT with the appropriate tunes for your vehicle based on existing m0ds.

Call this guy for custom tunes for the programmer you have. There's no need to replace the hardware because he can replace the canned tunes, if that's what you're sick of. Then you can look at getting a separate gauge set up:

It's a 6.0L, so the only "all-in-one" solutions are either the Insight or the DashDaq, but both are $$$ to cover everything you need, and even then have a couple holes from a diagnostic prospective. A lot of people end up mix and matching a digital monitor with a couple stand alone gauges, so the ScanGauge and Torque Apps are popular because they cover a ton of stuff for the lowest cost.


What model is your old tuner? If it's an SCT X3 and you're dead set on ditching it then you'll probably find a buyer easily because most people want the tuner as a platform for custom tunes from a few different vendors, then go a different route for gauges. You could sell and upgrade to either the Livewire or iTSX, but I'd call Matt@Gearheads and see if he can write tunes for those platforms first. There's no good reason to run canned tunes on a 6.0.
