friend of mine gave me a set of springs but doesnt know what truck they came off of. the sticker is too far gone. any chance anyone knows the specifics of these springs with the info in the pic?
Looking at the lower label, the 1FT... is likely the VIN. Making an educated guess at some of the missing digits and an online VIN decoder gives several indications of them being installed on a F-250.
A dealer/body shop may be able to scan the bar code, too.
Cutts the last picture there has the part number or the engineering number on it minus the base number 3C34_____CC. I am not sure what the base number for leaf spring is but I can find out tomorrow for you.
thanks, i would appreciate any info you can provide. i did however go ahead and throw them under the truck, i was bored and it was a beautiful day. i gained exactly an inch and the ride seems to be a little softer. although i know the front will make the most difference.
this is where i started:
and this is where i wound up:
here is the stock springs as compared to the SD springs:
those are Super duty springs I can tell you that much. They are a bit longer and have the straight bottom spring instead of the curved spring like the OBS spring has. but you already know that......
Wow... that's a lot different result than what I got when I tried to install SD B code rear springs in my truck. My springs had a much higher arch than the SD springs, and I didn't gain anything so I took the springs back.
To install SD rear springs you have to either swap the rear shackle or grind the SD shackle and drill out the spring mount, as well as drill the front spring mount out as well.
sorry, didnt see these till now. we had an outage this weekend and its always a busy day afterwards!

not hard at all, the 'hard' part was breaking loose the bolt that holds the shackle to the spring. i just pulled the whole thing out and put the spring pack in my vice so i could get two hands on it

well this is for the rear so no RSK and i dont want to do a shackle flip because i still haul a decent amount of weight. the only thing i had to change was get new bolts. i used 5/8" grade 8 bolts for the front and rear of the springs and for the shackle-to-frame i used 9/16's grade 8.

lol ya i was nervous at first bc it looked shorter. heck if i hadnt taken pics i wouldnt have guessed it lifted at all!
i used my stock shackles, just flipped them around. and i didnt drill anything execpt for the shackles to accept a 5/8" bolt.
With the SD B codes mocked into place on my truck, I lost 1/4" in height... I was bummed. I thought I was finally going to get rid of the Cali lean. Now I need to find some F250 rear blocks and 4" lift springs.
