Disable alarm system?
Hi, I'm working on a 1998 Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition for my G/F. The autostart that she just had installed causes the alarm (OEM alarm) to be activated if you use anything other than the key fob to lock and unlock
the door. I would like to disable the alarm without actually unhooking the horn. Any advice?

Apparently the installers wired in relays to lock and unlock the power locks rather than utilizing the lock and unlock signals to the RAP module. You're probably going to need to switch over their lock and unlock wires to the RAP and I think that will fix your issue. That's how I installed remote start in my 2000 Mountaineer and I didn't have any problems.
