Header question

I know a guy that is selling his stock 5.0 Mustang headers and I think my stock manifolds are cracked and leaking. I searched this and some people said they don't fit and others said they do. I'm taking this into a exhaust shop, will they clear every thing safely? I don't want to have problems down the road with these things, I can have the shop modify my y-pipe to fit if that's the only problem.

Mustang headers will not work. You need some for a truck. If it was mine and the engine is stock, I would just replace the manifolds.

Truck headers are the best to use , you can do a search on this fourm , i heard a few that have done it , since you are going to have custom exhaust made they may work ?? , any thing is better than the stock manifolds ....long tube headers being the best....Lew

what year is your truck i have few sets here if you need them think they are 95 to 05 year models

That sucks, I can get them for $40 and they have been sitting since 1992, they look brand new. Why exactly don't they work? Is there a clearance issue?
