Hi, I have a 79 F150 4X4 with a stock steering box and pitman arm, I put the box back in tonight, and I got that big pitman nut as tight as I could, but does anyone have a torque spec on it?
I've heard in the range of a couple hundred pounds, and my tq wrench only goes to 100, and I knew that the nut had to be way tighter than that by feel anyway, so I didn't even bother. I put it on with a 2 foot breaker bar, and pretty literally stood sideways against the tire pulling towards myself, but still.
