Last year I remember seeing a 53 thru 55 truck getting a front end treatment from a 63 era chrysler 300 - grill and headlight assembly - (maybe canted headlights) the owner had pinched the lower front fenders and was in the process of completing the paint. I think it also may have 49 merc tail lights. Can someone can lead me back to the post ?
Yes thats it, I didnt remember it being a 56, but that is the one I was looking for. I found a complete 64 chrysler front end at my local salvage yard and was considering getting it for a future project. I did the split bumper thing and welded 1 piece grill last year. next project will be 49 merc tail lights into the fenders, hopefully before the new year.
I think that you will find that these headlights are from a 1958 Lincoln. They were a common treatment for customs of the 60s. I still have a pair stashed away someplace in the garage for a rainy day.

Rick where did you get your front bumper off of.
Thanks
Those bumpers are from a Nash station wagon. I cant take credit for the idea, I got that from seeing the truck owned by member uc4me. He had split bumpers from a Pontiac on his truck and i just took his idea and made it work for me.
