i had a 88 T-bird that the lenses had a yellow tint to them. i took the whole assembly out, soaked then in a vinegar/water solution, which helped at first, but then the yeellow tint came back. so i ordered new ones from jc whitney...dont know if that answered your questiion or not?

There are some posts on here about wet sanding and polishing yellowed lenses. Use the search function to find them Its pretty detailed procedure. Or you can replace them with new/used ones
