Sure is, The 6.0 and the VT365 are the same engine bases but are dressed differently and use different electronics. It is used in many different brands of RV's, school buses and some of the International box trucks. I found a complete list on a school bus forum but I didn't save the link.
If you read some of the school bus forums they have the same problems with the EGR and Oil coolers, so the problems some of us face aren't Super Duty specific. Heres a link to a schoolbus forum where a guy had 6 EGR coolers replaced!!!!
so can we use a bus tranny in our trucks? other then the 4 wheel drive stuff would not work. I wish some one would make one. May be then we could put the coals to it.
The Torqshift transmission is one of the strongest "light duty" transmissions ever built. It is more than stout enough to withstand anything you throw at it, expensive lessons with Edge programmers notwithstanding.
"Bigger" medium duty transmissions are not necessarily better, as they're usually substantially heavier, and designed for peak input speeds that are much lower; Torque converter speed and torque ratios are different, and perhaps having more gears; etc...
I'm trying to get an idea of which different businesses would have a qualified tech that s familiar with the 6.0 I live in a farming community and am curious if there is any relationship between Case International and International Navistar?
Case tractors and construction equipment are part of the Case New Holland group, which is a subsidiary of Fiat.
Navistar is the corporate parent of the International Truck and Engine company.

Thanks for the clarity on the two groups. I didn't think they were related, but didn't want to miss an opportunity to find someone with good experience on the 6.0 I'll continue my search for a good local tech.
6.0 is used in ambulances..We just baught a new E-450 2010 and they still had 6.0's available..Lucky for us, not really interested in testing the new emission stuff...I would look for a tech. that is familar with Ford 6.0.. I would think a construction or agriculture motor would be far different than the ones we run in the trucks..jmho..
