this is a defect ford told me that when the government made new regulations the fuel industry added stuff to the Diesel that ford tanks were not ready for..
There will be a class action suite its all over the net I have spoken to a lawyer but i would have to pay out of pocket to hire him.

I wish I could sue all the companies that sold me gasoline engines that were put in my lawn mowers and garden tractor. They run like crap with E10 the only fuel available to me.
So it's Ford's fault they didn't warn owners back in 05, and 06 not to use biodiesel?
Apparently this is not a biodiesel issue w/ the OP or vlietracer64 ......
Although biodiesel will definitely cause the delamination - and Ford did say not to use over B5. The additive question was a good one also. If straight diesel were the ONLY issue, then ALL tanks would be having the problem. Maybe they are, I do not follow these failures very closely.
we see it alot. its nothing new and we see it more this time of year. bio, water, alcohol can all cause it to happen.
this is not a ford defect this is a goverment tree hugging issue.
