I called the local turbo shop today and asked about having them upgrade my H2E from the 2-1/2" to the 2-3/4" wheel. He said they could do it, and it would be likely around $400. (Wow this is good compared to Beans or Hypermax).
He did suggest however that I could purchase a wicked wheel for it that may also get me a little more air. Does anyone know anything about the wicked wheel for the H2E??
Now I'm suspicious of the shop, and wondering if they even know what they're doing with an H2E.
Well, that was my thought as well. I have never heard of one either. Does anyone know how many mm the wheel in the stock H2E is? and what the upgraded wheel goes to? I was told 2-1/2 to 2-3/4". I did the conversion and 2.5 comes up as 63.5mm. So, the upgrade only takes you to 69.5? Can you go bigger?
They say they can put whatever I want on it, but I have to be careful of the housing being able to handle it. Anyone know the details around this? How big can I go, and when does it become pointless, or too much etc...?

That sounds close to right. I'm trying to remember if the upgraded wheel is 69mm or 71mm. Somewhere around there.
Beans does quality work with the H2E. Personally I'd spend the little more than $200 difference to send it to them.
The upgrade is to flow a bit more air, ~200 cfm more. It helps when you're running injectors capable of 450+ hp.

I have the injectors, but its not just $200, I guess where I am torn is Hypermax wants 1200, so what do they do for almost twice the price that Beans doesn't do?
And with shipping etc... (I live in Canada), it will work out to be WAY more than $200. I just want to know exactly what it is that they do that would make me go through the hastle of sending internationally to get the work done and wait for a couple of weeks...

Beans includes new bearings with the upgrade. That's probably why the price difference.
"The modded H2 from Beans is a 66mm wheel upgrade, using the stock exhaust housing. According to Bean and Chris at River City Turbo.
The modded H2 from hypermax is a 2.75" or 69.85mm wheel upgrade, using the stock exhaust housing. It is $725 upgrade at the time of purchase. I did not ask about down the road."
So... This being said. Is it as simple as me taking my Compressor housing to the Turbo shop and asking them to machine the housing to accept the 69.85mm housing, stick on the bigger wheel, and away I go?

Don't forget balancing. Of course, any turbo shop should be capable of that.

Is the turbo shop supplying the wheel?
They said they can, but to be ABSOLUTELY sure I am getting EXACTLY what I want, it would be nice if I could provide the wheel. Any idea of a part # or where to get it?
