Any one know of a good place to buy a replacement drivers side rear tail light cover on the net? Someone busted my wifes last night on our 96 Explorer and I don't want to pay dealer price. Also if you have purchased an after market tail light how was it as far as the 3 F's (form, fit, function)?
Thanks for the help.
Brad
2) Luck up and find someone who is selling their clear taillights.
No one has released any aftermarket taillights for a '95-'97 yet. They are being presold by a couple of companies, but they have not been released yet. You may wnt to check EBay for a taillight. There is usually a lot of people selling them on there.
I wish they would hurry and release some altezza style lights!!! (Along with just about everyone else )
You should be able to pick up a tail light for about 1/2 of retail at a wrecking yard. Do a search on the internet for wrecking yards. You should find a link where you can type in your request. I did that when I was looking for a replacement headlight for my Wife's '93 Sable. Within a couple of days I had 5 or 6 e-mails from various yards that would sell me one for $40-$60. Dealer wanted $110.
Update:
After some extensive searching on the net I came across this web site and ordered my new taillight from them. I had it in my house in only 5 days from time of order to delivery with standard shipping. The removal / install was a breeze. Total cost was $35.83 including shipping cost. What a deal. If you need to replace parts for your Expl. I would recomend them. HTTP://www.autoparts-autoparts.com
