Where to install Oil Temp sensor

Looking for a spot to install an isspro engine oil temp sensor, while doing my arp head studs and oil cooler upgrade. Can i use the oil test port on the front of the oil cooler housing???
Thanks,

You can use the test port. Me personaly I got a billit oil filter cap that was taped for a sender. Works good this way and much easier I think. Many on here do it this way.

More important than where a sensor can be mounted is wherether the readings recieved from that location matches readings from obd port. Has anyone made the compairison?

The reading is innacurate from the cap....or so I have heard. I did it a different way and have good results but without a second reference I will never know the accuracy of my install, but after driving it for 1k miles and pulling trailers it seems to be within the 5* or even with ECT's...here is the link:

or you can buy a scangaugeII and be done with it...which is what I should have done but instead I opted for four more gauges.
