back from the veterans parade at the VA, I walked with our riders with 2 other leaders just in case one of the horses acted up. (none of them did) anyhow it was inspiring seeing the vets salute the American flag, EVERY American flag that went by, some of the vets could barley get their hand up but still saluted each flag. at the end of the parade route the rotc was at attention on both sides of the street and saluted as each flag as it went by (the salutes looked like the wave at a stadium)
May God bless our vets.
kerm,
when I left havasu about 10:30, it was very pleasent, right about perfect! also, no matter where you look there is a pretty nice view. I wouldn't mind moving there some day, but would have to leave spring break time.
Good Evening Everyone.
Yea I have thought of Spring Break. We live in our RV. But we have decided that we are returning to the River by no later than March unless the Country just falls apart.
If we find ourselves coming back without Vici having a full-time teaching job we will return to Bullhead City. She can then substitute teach in Bullhead, Fort Mohave, Kingman, & Havasu. It would be closer than she is working now. We head to Bishop CA tomorrow & Monday for her to work & that is 117 miles one way. She only works here a few days a week & has to travel the rest. Short commute is 58 miles to 117 miles one way.
Then comes the cold weather & problems with brother & sister. We want to be back in Arizona. When we left we planned on two years here. Because of not being able to get her licensing in place in time for hiring this last spring in Arizona, We decided to stay another year. Then this deal here with my Mom & problems we came here. But with no support from the rest of the family we have decided to let them do whatever. I will come up to check on her & do what I can.
C,
I remember the family deal, and hear you! I guess I'm fortunate, my wife walks to her school, being just around the corner. I travel for work, obviously. This week alone, put over 1700 miles on my truck. makes for a long week! I'Ve found audiobooks, and never realised how much time I spend behind the wheel. anyways, just babbling I guess.
