Well guys I have to be honest, you've been more help in a few posts then all the guys on my threads. I think I may go ahead and start an engine build thread here in the chapter so I don't the November chat.
This is what its come down to... Can't get the headers to seal, so going about it another way. And yes, it's the copper rtv!
1. Glue the gasket to the headers being bolted to a head I had laying around to hold it in place.
2. Wait 24 hrs
3. Put them on the motor in the truck.
PS- the easiest way to make more power with the 351/302 is more air/less restriction. The stock exhaust/manifolds suck!
protip use elmers glue.... to holed the gasket to the header ( use the thick heard gaskets from mr gasket or... dbl stack stocks... eather way...
put it all togeather
start the truck let it run for about 20-40 minutes...
turn it off
torq the bolts back down
should fix your leaks....
* reason for elmers... it will melt away easy....
no elmers ... take your wifes candle use wax....
if it will melt away so when your tighten em back up theres no extra gunk beteen them... then no leaks ... * hopefully....
if no you might have to take the heads and headers to a machine shop and make sure the mating surface is true and flat....
now humor me... my 93 linc ... 4.6 ohc.... v8 .... i think the timeing jumped... i know nothing anout the 4.6's are they chain or belt? ... for timeing ... how do i check it ?
good morning I did my house cleaning chores a couple weeks ago, good thing I am permanently on early mail voting, I have to leave on a service call before the polls open.
When I worked for a conversion company years ago I used to do the mail voting, I traveled to 14 trade shows a year and one always fell in November and April, so it made it simpler to do it that way!

I've heard about that, but have spent way toooo long on this thing, and don't want to try anything new (to me) at this point. The heads are actually the problem, they are not quite like stock heads. As well as, I ported them even bigger. So the bottom of the port has less than sealing edge.
As for the 4.6 ??? You got me bud, I'll ask some people thou. Might want to try forum48.
