I hunt with a 30.06 and Winchester core-lokt 180 grain. the hard part is the drawing, my first elk tag took 16 years to get. I have been drawn for the last 4 or 5 years but I also hunt an area with a 1% success rate so getting drawn is easy, finding elk can be impossible
