If you are not in the "OH MY GOD I'VE GOT TO HAVE IT RIGHT NOW!!!" crowd, you can find Ford parts online cheaper then list. I ordered some parts for my Dad's truck and saved him a LOT of money. I, however, was in that crowd. LOL

These are Ford list prices,
front spring hanger $40.78
rear spring hanger $71.34
spring shackle $40.44
rear spring bushing $16.98
rear spring eye bolt $6.50
rear spring eye nut $5.62

I don't know of any mounting hardware or kit from Ford. I used 1\2" grade 8 nuts and bolts. Drilled out the holes to 1\2" and bolted everything together.

Well my last truck was 34 years old when I got rid of it. The trucks in question are running around the 15 year mark, so I would say there is a good chance of them being around for another 15 years.

I have no intentions of letting my truck go, so I used the best parts I could get, and I hope it is still around in 15 more years.

my currant truck 90 f250 4x4 was a rust bucket when i bought it off of E bay and the guy drove it over from Cal. 3 years ago , bought it for the motor tranny and 4x4 to use for another truck ! the spring hangers were shot miracle it made it to AZ , scraped all the rust off and replaced back hangers with one from another truck and now its my daily driver and use it to haul water ! had to do alot of other stuff to get it road worthy !

Certainly not always the case, here for example looks like over all a solid truck otherwise (what can be seen in the pictures).

Around here though once one gets to that point, thick steel is gone, more often then not the rest of the truck has seen better days. Worth a set of brackets to extend its life? Yea probably but not likely going to out last them.
See it mostly in plow and or salt spreader trucks or trucks that where neglected not kept clean in winter, they need fresh water flush to the underside as much as the painted side, regular visits to the "nozzle monster" to clear that crap away under there.

I used thE Dorman stuff from Rockauto. I didn't use the bolts that came with the hanges tho, I too drilled to half inch and used grade 8 bolts.

The Dorman hangers are quality parts. I don't see needing to replace them ever again.

I will not use "made in China" parts! Junk, as far as I am concerned.

Got news for you, lots of the "FORD" parts are now made in China as well. As is more and more of "American" Craftsman tools etc. Soon true Made in America tools and parts will be a thing of the past if we don't wake up!

Yea I know, it is getting harder and harder to find anything that is NOT made in China any more. This is not news to me.

Ford said they want to double imports of China parts to 3billion dollars this year. Ford is building yet another plant in China. That will make three plants there.

I am under no illusions that the replacement parts I got were made in the USA. Most of the parts were made in Mexico or Canada, and that is better then China to me. I would have liked to see made in USA, but sadly you don't see that on much of anything any more.

I buy USA when I can, anywhere else when I can't, and China when I really have no other choice.

I got my hanger kit from Auto and Truck Springs. The bolts are Grade 8 marked "LE -USA" and the bracket is as nice as what I could expect from Ford. The parts were received within 3 days of the order.
