Rear Leaf Spring Hangers

Recently I have noticed my sources offering aftermarket rear hangers and shackles. I currently have to replace the rear hangers on a 95 F 150 What my question is? What is the quality difference between the aftermarket and the OEM has anyone had them side by side? I was told by someone they might be just reboxed OEM. Anyone with any insights?

When I did the rear frame brackets on my 86 I bought them from a Ford dealer for about $35. I think aftermarket ones are about the same price. Rock Auto, one of out sponsors has the frame mount (Dorman) for around $20. RockAuto Auto Parts

I used the Dormans from Ebay on my 88 f-250 and i have a utility box on the back my truck weighs 8200 empty! no problems and ive hauled a cube of cinder block and the sand and the mortar at the same time. pretty happy with the dormans.

I was going for the DORMAN'S. I seen some other version, but havent had them all to compare. FORD raised their prices, I buy from same dealer all the time for work, and for some reason for decided to go and raise prices.

all depends what you want to do with your truck . if you are looking to lift it the shackle flip will add 4-5 inches of lift , if you have blocks on the back then you can do away with them and sit about the same or 2 inches higher than stock ( thats with 2 inch blocks )
the truck should ride a little better but a lot depends on your springs

I just replaced all four of mine plus the shackles and the bushings. I went back to Ford.

I will not use "made in China" parts! Junk, as far as I am concerned.

Are you really asking a question or being a smart butt???

If serious I'll have to dig up receipts for the parts.

I'm asking. I could see how I worded the question it could be read a couple of different ways. I should have asked "Do you remember...".

If a truck rusted out to the point it requires those parts replaced, realistically what are the odds it will outlive yet another set of hangers/shackles, even if what is used is the cheaper "made in China" type replacement parts?
