i foresee threads in the 2011 diesel section shorty:
help my **** tank froze up and and truck can only idle!
help my message center told me i can only drive 55mph!
help filling up my **** tank has ate away my paint!
i cant drive 55!
im gunna chuckle seeing the new '11's forced to my normal max speeds in my old idi.
there's going to be some major trouble with frozen **** tanks, you watch lol.
wanna know what that message center adds the cost of the truck? nah, neither do i lol.people wont like it when they have to replace that sucker either.seems like the truck just wont function without that working properly.
now how can i tell the message center to make me a cup of joe and wipe my bottom for me
they're making trucks for girls now.why not just paint 'em all hot pink while they're at it.
Hmmm.....truck that runs off of ****....yes this might just work.....maybe if they made the opening bigger and put some sides on the truck so no one would see me.
clever jokes but it wont stop the vehicle from starting or running, by the time it runs down the road, it will probably be thawed anyway. it cant hinder the ability of the truck to operate, just cleans the exhaust emissions. i like the fun though haha. They already have kits too by the way to delete the peepee tanks haha
think the epa forces manufaturers to do things like this, ford knows most people will just delete them anyhow, but to put out the big heavy diesel with all the power they gotta comply
"the engine computer will issue a low DEF warning on the dash at 500 miles to empty, so there will be plenty of time to find a vendor and refill the tank. If you do run the DEF down to empty, it goes into limp home mode and limits speeds to 25 mph."
talk about a funny situation!! hahaha ummmmm yes officer, can you pee into my tank, im dehydrated! hahaha
There making these engines and componets more and more complicated and the more stuff you add on the more room for error and repairs ,
and its stuff that praticaly no one knows how to fix or fully understains it .
Ok if I bought a truck like that all that stuff would have to go before I would even drive it I think ill save $60,000 and just keep my idi and put a Turbo on it and some 3" exhaust

good plan! that way itll save you $58,000 and you wont have to worry about filling the pee hole either
so lets see here...
1) new truck- $60k-$70k (depending on what options you go with)
2) delete kits and tuners- $3K
3) paying a shop to tune it right- $1k-$2k
equals
TOO MUCH D*** $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ or in real terms... just a few Ks short of half of my house!
My truck to me= priceless (in a matter of speaking)
Imagine what some one could do with a $60k budget, and a good ol IDI truck.
As a side note, CARB was recently caught fudging the numbers on diesel emission estimates for california. They had to admit their numbers were off by about 300% and one of their "experts" was fired after they found out he had faked some of his credentials. Yet the rules still stand and crap like this still happens.
