First, their 8 inch lift kit for the F350 lifts the front 8 inches but it lifts the rear only 5 inches. That means you have to buy their F250 Kit for the F350, that raises the rear 8 inchs but you have to have custom U-bolts made because their kit doesn't have u-bolts long enough. Second their track bar relocater brackes doesn't drop the position low enough. Only 4 inches, I had that part of a superlift that lowered it 6.5 inches so I used that. Those kits are not well thought out and I wish I had went with another Company.
BTW I have a 05 and a 06 6.0 4x4 Superduty.
I spoke to the Fabtech people on the phone a while back. Their lift kits are also leveling kits. So, on an 8 inch lift the back is not going to come up as high, therefore the truck sits level. They told me over the phone that if you want the back to come up the same amount, you need to have the retailer call them, and they will put a kit together just for you.
My 4 inch lift brought the front up 4 inches, and the back an inch or so. So now my truck sits level. Fabtech is not the only lift company that does that.

I spoke with Fabtech personal in person at the show in Orlando, after the fact and they told me all there kits were designed to raise the front more so the truck would look better. ( I said in who's opinion, squating looks like **** they said they didn't think so) And that's the only way you can get it. I've yet to see a Leveling kit make any truck look better. If I wanted a 5,000#s in the bed look, I would just put 5,000#s in the bed. I truely don't understand the rear squat trucks and 1 inch will make a truck look like it squats.
I agree with you mobey, I cannot stand the front higher then the rear. Many lift kits do that and can not understand why. I guess some people like that look, while I think it looks down right stupid.
Thx for all the input, but If i got 6 inch kit , i would def only go with 22inch rims with 37 inch tires, and if i went 8 i would go with 22 and bigger tires. Ive seen acouple of set ups i really like, but was unaware i had to regear but it makes sense, I have to check what my ratio is. I dont plan on doing any towing and def have no small children and hopefully not for a while! I plan on using this truck for fun and off roading here and there other wise its my new toy. I even contimplated keeping the stock 20's it came with and sending them out to be widened and using them with bigger tires i just dont know how good it would look. As to the guys who spoke about the rear end being lower, i want to avoid that i dont think it looks good at all i dont want my truck squatin
So I've had my dreams set to running 37's on my Super Duty and would like to get just a 4" or 5.5" lift to put them under. I have been looking at the Fab Tech 5.5 but I was also wondering how many people put the rear tracbar on there as well? With that much lift I was wondering about axle wrap, especially in combo with tires that get much more heavy when going from stock to 37's.
I also would like to know best gearing for a Super Duty running 37's, I have 3.73 gears on mine. If it helps any I have the Ranch hand front bumper (adds about 200lbs to front) and the V-10. Everyone tells me with those two together it makes it sit like a PSD. lol
I have been hitting sites all over with no luck, this one seems a lot more active so thanks in advance.
FYI I don't feel like this is a hijack, seems like it fits right in.
