Lift Kit Advice

Well i finally bought my 2010 F250 Lariat CC Short Bed about 2 or 3 months ago and have been saving up money to put a lift kit on it. Ive decided to go with either a 6 or an 8 inch lift kit with 22 inch rims n either 37-40 inch tires. My problem is ive been doing alot of research on lift kits, the more i look the more i get confused. There a number of kit rangining from 1000 to prices i cant touch. Im trying to stay under the 3,500 range because the tires/rims package will be expensive as well. I just ordered my Spartan tuner and just installed dual chrome stacks. Let me Know what you guys think. I look forward to your ideas. Thx JR

I would probably go with a 8" if you want 37"-40" tires. I have a 6" lift on mine and 37s are as big as I would go.
What are you asking about... which company? which systems?
Rize and Fabtech are popular

if your going to 37-40" tires you should budget for regearing aswell..

meats that big will def require addressing unless you like your truck running with major loss of power..

Here is a link to Fabtech. You want an 8 inch lift for what you want. There are several lifts to choose from. It depends on how much money you want to spend. If you look at the different kits here, you will see why some are more than others. The basic system will do what you want. Here is the link.

Products > FORD 4WD > F250 2008-11 > 8" Systems

6'' will let you squeeze 37's on the right rim, 40's will require 10'' minimum. IMO an 8'' and 37''-38'' tire looks the best. What gear ratio do you have?

I would like to know also. I have a 4 inch Fabtech lift on my 01 2wd, and there is nothing wrong with it. My truck rides, and drives great. I don't know how their 4wd lift's compare to others, but I would think they are fine.

Speaking of regearing... what are some of you guys running with 35s or 37s. My truck seems to run well stock but always looking to improve. I want it to still do 75 on the highway without running too high rpms or hurting the mileage too much. 4.56? Also is the speedo recalibration done electronically?

First, their 8 inch lift kit for the F350 lifts the front 8 inches but it lifts the rear only 5 inches. That means you have to buy their F250 Kit for the F350, that raises the rear 8 inchs but you have to have custom U-bolts made because their kit doesn't have u-bolts long enough. Second their track bar relocater brackes doesn't drop the position low enough. Only 4 inches, I had that part of a superlift that lowered it 6.5 inches so I used that. Those kits are not well thought out and I wish I had went with another Company.

BTW I have a 05 and a 06 6.0 4x4 Superduty.

That is kind of a screwed up kit. I had a 5.5" on my 04. Seemed like a good kit. Maybe anything larger is better with a Rize, if you can afford it.
