You are right there fordf250hdxlt. I have seen alot of people pull things that they can't stop. I may have even been guilty a time or two, I stay off the highway though.

Yep, that pretty much sums up my $900 IDI!
You can't tell me this new stuff will live longer than 150k miles, get rebuilt and then do it again.
What kind of price tag are we talking about?
I believe we're all on the same page knowing our IDI's will outlast and outwork any new crap that rolls off anybody's assembly line. Trust me, we won't get into horsepower wars because the IDI is not a powerhouse without "some" tweaking...but power aside, the IDI can't be beat as a cost-effective, simple, reliable power plant for an everyday work horse.
