Its taking every iota of self control I have not to jump in and post a reply in that thread. But I figure, whats the point when its already gotten so bad?
In another news, my driveline showed up today.
With the yoke for a corp. 14 instead of my Dana 70
Ahhh, well, mistakes happen and Jess will take care of it.
what the.......? do they even go off road? like on an honest to god OHV trail? I dont use 4x4 all that often, but I like having it around. they probably all drive lightnings! lol
i want to cry.......how lame. thats all i can say. im starting to lose intrested in this board. we need a good project to follow. come on Ivan, get the blue beast project going. i need more exciting posts than "how much lift?" or "Best offorad tire for the road" those are killing me!!!!
Well I just got off the phone with Interco. The 42" tires in 16, 16.5, and 17 will go into production in 2 weeks (15s have not yet passed tests yet). This means I'll probably have them in about a month if I can scrape the money together as I just blew my tire funds on a new laptop. Sooooo mid June I'll be ready to roll with my project. I agree though, we need a good topic to follow here.
Idio, did you ever try mounting the tractor tire on the 16.5 rim? I'm still interested in this route for a MUD tire.

No way! Yes! That is so awesome 42" tires in those rim sizes. What kind of model TSL's, Boggers, Iroks?
Just the IROK. I'm hoping someone over there buys a clue in the next year or so and starts the boggers and TSL's in a 16" rim. I was going to go with the 39.5" IROK's but some jackass on Pirate told me they had a 42" coming. I thought to myself "What's 2 inches?" but when I asked my girlfriend she laughed hysterically . . . guess size DOES matter. So I'm holding out for the 42's . . . figure if I can clear them then I can get a set of 44" boggers for mud, provided I find some mud. But I'm also interested in Idio's 44" tractor tire quest. I haven't been able to find anything similar in town though I haven't looked too hard yet.
ya ya ya. ive been real busy these last few weeks. school is comming to an end, and i have a chit load to do for midterms and finals. as for the tires. i might go sometime this week and check them out. i can probably get a set of 4 42-44" on 16.1 wheels for an 8on8 bolt pattern for 600. then all i would have to do is unbolt the centers and make some for an 8on6.5 that bolt right back in. i dunno though. im way busy. i just got my axles last weekend, im getting my motor in a week, i need to rebuilt my rear 12 bolt, get a spool for it. weld my front. get 2 sets of F150 springs, get a brake master cylinder and booster for my power breaks swap and get a powersteering pump...........then i need to find some 44" boggers to put on there.
but none the less i may look farther into those tires in the next week or so.
The tire itself is 15" wide I believe. I am putting mine on 16x10 rims (Eagle 589's . . . bling bling! ) Part of the reason I chose them is they're narrow enough to fit on my truck without having to mount gigantic flares.
EDIT: By this I mean the reason I chose the IROK's, not the rims.
Idio, let me know what you find out with the tires when you get around to it. I wouldn't be ready for them until August or September but I think the idea would be awesome. I just don't know what it would take to mount them. Also, you'd talked about borrowing a 16.5 and trying to mount them . . . curious to know if this works.

Heck ya I can't wait till those tires come out! I will be looking for them for sure. Yeah I agree with the Eagle 589's its an aluminum and will be alot lighter.
