this may seem like a pretty n00b question, but where do yall add coolant? theres no rad cap, and im not to fond of adding from the overflow. so im doing my heater core this weekend, where do i add coolant.
If you were to empty the overflow container, you'd see a hole in the bottom of it that directly leads into a feeder-hose that feeds into your lower main radiator hose.
Yeah, it took a lot of us a little getting used to compared to the 1980s automobiles, and back, but it works really well for adding coolant and water. it isn't the fastest way to add a Stops-leak or Water-Wetter product, but it still works.
As others have stated, the overflow is where you add coolant on these. If you're not familiar with the lower hose on the 4.6, below is a link of the picture. You can see that the hose coming off at a T goes to the overflow.
