My truck has recently started acting strange. Sometimes it will not start. It acts like it is not getting any fuel. It may take several tries but it eventually will start and runs fine. This may happen 2 oro 3 times a week. Is it the fuel pump or something else? Anybody got any ideas?
Sometimes if the check valve in the fuel pump goes bad, the fuel line will go empty and will take a little time for the pump to prime. Does this only do this on first start of the day?

I've had this happen in my '06 a couple of times. It cranks, fires, then dies almost like it's being choked out. Mine doesn't do it on the first start. It's usually after I've been running for a while, shut down to go into a store, come back 5 minutes later, and it does this.
Are there any codes? It could be a fuel pump driver module or fuel pump. It could have a P0191 code and not luminate the MIL. That would indicate the driver module. Had that problem on the wife's 02 Taurus and it had the P0191 code, which is a fuel rail pressure problem. Since the driver module and fuel pump are all in the fuel pump on the Taurus, a new Bosch fuel pump solved the problem.
