Engine Runs rough intermittently
I have a 96 F350 with PSD about 150,000 miles. Engine will just all of a sudden run rough like it has air in fuel and check engine light comes on and it dies. Starts right back up and may or may not run fine. May run great 20 miles and then act upa nd at times wont run 5 minutes. When run scan test it comes up with pass code. cant seem to get to memory codes if it has any. Any ideas. I replaced the cam position sensor.

My boss's truck did a simler thing. It would run like a champ then all of the sudden cut out and run rougher then a sports car in a plowed field. With no power could hardly hold second gear down hill. The check engine light would also come on and the local ford dealership told us this was normal. Ya rite. We found that the valve cover gasket has a wring harrness running thro it. For the injectors and glow plugs. The passenger side gaskets wiring was melted and would short out the computer cutting all fuel to that side of the engine. We putt new gaskest on and it ran like a champ. I suggest ya pull off the valve cover gaskets and have a look see in there and see if any of them wires are melted or otherwise damaged.
