Will this steering shaft work?
Borgeson Universal 000975 - Borgeson Universal Telescoping Steering Shafts - Overview - SummitRacing.com
I need a new steering shaft since my old one is worn out. The rag joint and the u-joint on it has gave out.
This new one has double u-joints so I won't have to worry about a rag joint.
Anyone use this one before?

That shaft will work great, I got one to fix my sloppy steering 77.5 4x4 F250. I am pretty sure its a cut to fit/slip shaft universal deal.
The slip shaft design is old school crash protection idea, I think?
Just measure the total length (spline shaft to spline shaft) and cut the inner solid shaft first, them the outer hollow shaft has to be LONGER.
I measured mine like 5 times, it could be a $$ mistake.

Yes but the inner shaft arrives much longer then it needs to be, so long that even fully collapsed it will not fit. The instructions have you trim it to where it will have the maximum collapse distance, incase of an accident, while still fitting your application.
Thats how mine was at least. Mine is the same shaft but bought off ebay so maybe yours will come pre cut but I dont belive it will.

The rag joint is for vibration and the isolated sleeve accounts for slight movement/shifting of the cab... it's also supposed to collapse in the event of a head-on collision so the steering wheel isn't plunged into your upper torso. Yeah, it would leave a mark - a really, really, really big mark.
IIRC, it was around 1968 or so when a collapsible steering column system became mandatory.
