Leveling Kit Question

I made a thread in the 80-96 section, but I figured I might get some more responses/opinions in here. I have a 93 F-250 with the Dana 50 front end and I'm starting to get tired of the raked look. Plus I'm currently running 33x12.50 tires on all stock suspension and even though I've already trimmed the front bumper, when I take the truck through ruts at full lock sometimes the tires still rub.

I've been looking at the Rough Country add-a-leaf kit ($75) that claims 2" of lift on the front end and would like to get some opinions on this kit and if it's worth it. Of course, i know it would be better to go with the full leveling kit ($400+) but if I'm going to get that involved I will just go with a 4" lift and 36"s. My biggest worry is alignment issues (gotta love TTB!) because the truck is my DD. Any Suggestions?

get a full kit. everyone else will say do a solid axle swap because they all despise ttb's, but i doubt you need that.

with the solid pivot point in the middle of the axle you need to lower that anytime you lower (lift) the axle, otherwise your steering, caster, and camber and such will be all out of wack and it will drive like ****. you can't just put on taller springs with out using drop brackets for the pivot.

Thanks! Thats exactly the feedback I was looking for. Personally, I would love to do a SAS, but funds just don't allow that right now. I'm not really wanting to do a full suspension lift as the truck is already tall enough for my liking and for the way I use it. I just saw the kit while cruising eBay and thought that it might be a viable solution. It seems as though the front of my truck is starting to sag so I thought maybe it would help rectify that.

Good info guys!

I'm kinda in the same boat. Front of my truck is having the raked look. I'm only trying to fit a 33inch tall tire under it. It's a '92 F-250 4x4 with the 7.3 diesel engine.

Would I be better off going with a leveling kit (Leveling Kit by Tuff Country- 1980-96 Ford F250 4WD Diesel/V10 Engine 2.5" front/ 0" rear(Leaf Pack): Ultimate Auto Accessories) or a lift (Ford Suspension Lift Kit)?

How involved am I looking here? I've never done a lift before, but I have added lowering springs/shocks/struts to my mustang before. I don't mind the lift because it comes with new shocks and I wanted to replace mines anyways.

I have a thread in the suspension section, but hasn't seen much response.

a 4'' lift will look kind of goofy with 33's, so for the sake of looks i would say go with a leveling kit, or 35's and a 4'' setup.

I'll stick with the leveling kit then.
