90 2.3 running like crap

I have a 1990 ranger 4x4 2.3l. I changed the plug wires and plugs and now its running likes its misfiring. Rechecked all plugs and wires they are right and replaced coil pack on drivers side no change hooked new one up on pass. side no change changed fuel filter no change. put a vac. gauge on intake and reading 13psi with needle bounces alil oh and some blue smoke out the tail pipe.Good old truck dont want to junk it

Ok, so it seems either one of the new parts is incorrectly installed, of has some other issue.

What brand parts did you use?

Did you check the gap on the new plugs before you put them in?

before i new tune up it ran fine but the wires were worn out i could hear the wires arching out i used motorcraft plugs and autolite wires all from advance auto parts i set the gap before install i know yall have to rule that out but not my first rodeo

Sometimes even the best of us overlook the simple stuff, wasn't trying to say you didn't know what you where doing... Do you still have the old parts that you took off??? If you do, try putting them back in and see if it runs better. If it does, replace with the new parts one at a time till it runs like crap again...

If after changing plugs and wires with poor results, why did you keep changing parts? I think you "bumped" a plug changing the gap or possibly cracking it's insulator.

checked everything like 5 times and sorry the old parts got trashed cause they was bad i will put autolites in see how that does if not ill do wires agian

ok changed plugs from motorcraft to champs like the book called for have seen this type of problem in GM but still no change so will change wires next
